A common Japanese word, genki loosely translates to energetic, robust, and lively.
Genki is also used in a familiar greeting:
“お元気ですか?”
to ask someone “How are you?” or more literally “Is your vital energy in good health?”.
What is Genki?
Let’s break it down:
元 Gen: source, foundation, origin
気 Ki: mind, spirit, energy, atmosphere
Combine them, and you’ve got a more mindful, holistic version of “What’s up?”.
My practice is called Genki Acupuncture not just to evoke and embody the multiple meanings of this word, but as a nod to the Japanese techniques I often use in my treatments.
Life throws a lot at us.
It is impossible to always stay healthy, centered, and calm - to remain genki forever. With the eclectic skill set I’ve cultivated, we will work together towards balance on all levels - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
So…what’s up?
