Find yourself in Tier 3? Please pay the highest end of the sliding scale for the service you’re booking. This helps Genki Acupuncture continue to offer treatments at more affordable rates, paying it forward for those in Tiers 2 & 1.

The creator of this model, Alexis J. Cunningfolk, said it best:“At the end of the day, the sliding scale thrives on trust. Trust is a pretty amazing thing. I trust you to be honest in your assessment of your economic reality.”

Let’s work together to provide effective, preventative, and mindful medical treatments to our friends & neighbors.

FAQs

Do I pay the same amount every time?

You do not have to pay the same amount every time. On the day of your appointment, you are welcome to pay anywhere on the given scale for the service(s) you are receiving. You do not have to provide an explanation when/if this amount fluctuates.

What payment methods are accepted?

While a credit card is required as part of our intake & booking process (to have on file for cancellations/missed appointments), we accept a variety of payment methods at the time of your appointment including cash, check, Venmo or Zelle, HSA/FSA cards, or a different credit card.

Why use a sliding scale?

Genki Acupuncture uses a sliding scale model because it helps make acupuncture & TCM modalities more affordable and accessible, supporting the health and wellness of our shared community. This tool of economic justice allows space for flexibility, and assists us in accommodating a wider patient base.
